Rules.
Age group: 7-16
Important Notes
Players must bring their own tennis racquet. (23-27 in.)
Players should bring their own water bottles, and dress for the weather (hat, sunscreen, shoes) as it gets quite hot.
Shoes are required to play.
Food is not allowed on the courts. Students will get a 5 minute break for a snack if they wish.
Only authorized people (parents, guardians) can pick up their children. If parents are more then 15 minutes late in picking their children up, late fees of $1 a minute will be charged.
Restrooms will NOT be available onsite or near the courts.
If the safety protocols and guidelines are not met, we reserve the right to refuse service.Â
Cancellations are available up to 24 hours in advance with full refund; after that, no refund will be provided.
Curriculum.
We will introduce the players to the following strokes, but their mastery of it depends on their practice. Every class, we will start off with a warmup and then drills. Afterwards, we will progress into point play to help them apply these drill concepts to real matches. Regular practice will help them improve faster.
Over the duration of the summer, we will cover many different styles of hitting, including:
Groundstrokes
Volleys
Footwork
Serve technique
Overheads
Coordination
Topspin
